The Van Boshuizenstraat Station provides tram, bus, and metro connections to the RAI Congress Center, VU Medical Center, and Amsterdam’s city center. Bike rentals are also available. Rooms include an LCD TV with satellite channels, a pillow menu, a work desk and a tea/coffee maker. All have a private bathroom that features a walk-in shower. A continental breakfast is included. Guests can also eat out at one of the restaurants in the surrounding area of the hotel.

Accessibility room: do not book
- What did you like most?The staff was wonderful. The location/price was alright for what we needed (close to vumc hospital). It was nice to see a disability accessible room in a budget hotel. Having late checkout is great when you need a hotel especially for a longer day after the night's stay. The shower chair was functional and comfortable. There is a separate sink next to the toilet at seated level. There is a peep hole at seated level as well.
- Was there anything you didn't like?My dislikes are related mostly to the accessibility of the "accessible" room. The disability accessible room was on the 2nd floor, through several doors and corridors, meaning you won't be able to leave in case of emergency if you are dependant on an elevator. In general, many basic accessibility things were just not there: the shower head was positioned out of reach from a seated position, the emergency strings were tied up to the ceiling, pillows were stored so high up that even my carer struggled to reach them. The doors were heavy and didn't automatically open. It is difficult to get in and navigate around the place with a wheelchair. The bathroom smelled very bad. The accessible toilet keeps flushing continuously. There is also quite a tall lip to hop over to get into the bathroom, on quite a tight angle, which is not at all easy, especially if you have a bigger chair. Apart from that the bed is quite uncomfortable, and the double mattress "bounces" on every move of your bed partner. Therefore it is quite unsuitable for those that need even just basic structural support from a mattress. Only one side of the bed is accessible, as the other side is very close to the wall. There is no braille or other tactile adjustments in the room to get any of the written information, let alone find and adjust the temperature etc. So even though this room does a lot of things right: if you have significant accessibility needs and are travelling alone, I do not recommend staying here.
